WAYS TO SLOW DOWN AT WORK ....

A continuously stressful work environment can be detrimental to your health and over-all well-being. How often do we rush to work, get as much done as we can while at work, not stop for a proper lunch, rush home and then worry all night about work?

Imagine what that is doing to your body, so here is a few ideas that may help to eliminate some of that pressure .....

1 - Make a list of your daily tasks with the hardest task at the top of your list .... filtering down to the smaller less menial tasks at the bottom. Once you have completed the hardest task the rest is downhill ..... also your concentration is sharpest in the morning.

2 - At lunchtime go outside and inhale the fresh air using deep breathing techniques, or go for a brisk stroll around the block. It will clear your head and boost endorphins.

3 - Only check your emails twice a day - once in the morning and once in the afternoon. If you check them constantly during the day, your brain cannot concentration on getting one job at a time completed.

4 - Five to ten minutes of Meditation per day can help ease anxiety and stress levels. Daily meditation can alter the brain’s neural pathways, making you more resilient to stress.

5 - Lucky last .... Establish boundaries so when you walk out the door from work you leave all your work and thoughts there too. No checking work emails from home, answering client calls in the evening, or trying to work on a problem in your head at night. You owe it too your body to let it relax and replenish so it can be in top shape for the following day.
